Московская биржа объявила о смене названия основного индекса

Руководство биржи рассчитывает, что смена названия поможет улучшить отношение ко всему российскому финансовому рынку
Индекс ММВБ, один из двух основных индексов Московской биржи, при расчете которого учитывается рублевая цена акций 50 крупнейших и динамично развивающихся российских компаний, сменит название. Как сообщает пресс-служба биржи, на смену индексу ММВБ (MICEX Index), расчет которого начался в 1997 году, придет индекс МосБиржи (MOEX Russia Index).
«Изменение наименования основного индикатора Московской биржи будет способствовать росту узнаваемости бренда группы и целостности восприятия не только Московской биржи, но и всего российского финансового рынка российским и международным профессиональным инвестиционными сообществом, частными инвесторами», — отмечается в сообщении биржи.
В пресс-службе торговой площадки отметили также, что менять название второго из двух основных индексов — валютного индекса РТС, — пока не планируется.
В течение четвертого квартала 2017 года планируется также внести изменения в методику расчета индексов Московской биржи и биржевые регламенты, повысив требования к ликвидности и базе расчета в целом.
«Эти и другие изменения, которые будут выработаны вместе с рынком, призваны повысить удобство использования индексов Московской биржи фондами и управляющими компаниями в связанных финансовых продуктах», — поясняется в сообщении биржи.
Расчет индекса ММВБ начался 22 сентября 1997 года со 100 пунктов. Исторический минимум его значения был зафиксирован 5 октября 1998 года (18,53 пункта), абсолютный максимум — 3 января 2017 года (2293,99 пункта).
Расчет индекса производится на основе акций 50 российских компаний, представляющих основные секторы экономики, в том числе «Газпрома», ЛУКОЙЛа, Сбербанка, НОВАТЭКа, «Роснефти», «Магнита» и т.д.
