В Днепропетровске снесли памятник советскому революционеру Петровскому
В Днепропетровске несколько сотен человек снесли памятник советскому революционеру Григорию Петровскому, в честь которого был назван город. После того, как монумент рухнул на землю, собравшиеся зажгли файера, а также стали петь гимн Украины и скандировать различны лозунги, сообщает “Тиждень” со ссылкой на очевидцев.
“Только что вы стали свидетелями действительно настоящего исторического события. Днепропетровск избавляется от коммунизма”, – утверждает автор видео, которое публикует портал.
Памятник стоял на Привокзальной площади. Его повалили при помощи болгарки и закрепленных на грузовике тросов.
Как сообщает “Интерфакс”, инициатором сноса памятника стал народный депутат Украины Андрей Денисенко. Выступая перед собравшимися, он сказал, что “нужно сделать это сегодня, так как сегодня день памяти битвы Героев под Крутами”.
Отмечается, что во время акции на площади присутствовал заместитель мэра Днепропетровска Михаил Лысенко. По его словам, скульптуру вывезли на специальный склад, где она будет храниться, “пока все памятники советской эпохи не будут снесены”.
Также агентство пишет, что у собравшихся на площади были флаги Украины и флаги националистической организации “Правый сектор”, запрещенной в РФ по решению суда.
Григорий Иванович Петровский являлся одним из сопредседателей ЦИК СССР и был заместителем председателя Президиума Верховного Совета СССР. Он подписал договор об образовании СССР со стороны УССР.
Петровский ушел из жизни в январе 1958 год, он был похоронен на Красной площади в центре Москвы. Памятник на Привокзальной площади Днепропетровска был открыт в мае 1976 года. Его высота составляла семь метров, а вес – 12 тонн.
В мае 2015 года на Украине вступили в силу законы о декоммунизации и запрете в стране всего коммунистического, включая памятники, названия и символику. В этой связи по всей стране меняют названия сел, городов, площадей и улиц, связанных с советским и коммунистическим прошлым, демонтируют памятники советской эпохи.
