В Таиланде дикий слон убил двух рабочих каучуковой плантации
Дикий слон напал на работников каучуковой плантации в Таиланде рано утром в пятницу, 30 октября, сообщает Yahoo News со ссылкой на AFP. В результате нападения два человека скончались, еще один получил тяжелые травмы.
Инцидент произошел в провинции Чантхабури на востоке Таиланда. Двое мужчин в возрасте около сорока лет работали на настоянии около 3 км друг от друга и стали жертвами нападения одного и того же животного, считают в полиции.
Еще одна сотрудница плантации, находившаяся рядом с одним из погибших, получила тяжелые травмы – слон сломал ей обе ноги, но женщине удалось выжить.
По словам лейтенанта местной полиции Сваи Чинвонга, слон повалил людей на землю при помощи хобота и пронзил бивнями.
На днях в той же провинции дикий слон атаковал автомобиль, сообщает Thai PBS, публикуя фотографии. В том инциденте никто не пострадал.
В Таиланде, где слон служит национальным символом, обитают около 2500 тысяч диких слонов. Еще около 4000 особей одомашнены.
