Amnesty International обвиняет Apple, Samsung и Sony в использовании продуктов детского труда
Международная правозащитная организация Amnesty International (AI) заявила, что многие технологические компании, включая Apple, Samsung и Sony, не в состоянии провести простейшие проверки, чтобы убедиться, что минералы, используемые в их продуктах, не добываются детьми.
Как передает “Интерфакс”, правозащитники получили документы, свидетельствующие, что компания Congo Dongfang Mining, принадлежащая китайскому производителю минералов Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Ltd (Huayou Cobalt), покупает кобальт в Конго, где широко распространен детский труд.
Затем комплектующие из кобальта у компании приобретают глобальные корпорации, в том числе Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony, Daimler и Volkswagen.
Кобальт, в частности, используется для производства литий-ионных аккумуляторов.
По данным AI, на шахтах на юге Конго с осени 2014 года погибли по меньше мере 80 человек.
