Покупка новых премиальных брендов позволит японскому пивному концерну Asahi выйти на европейский рынок. Сумма сделки, по данным источников, составит до $2,9 млрд
Крупнейшая в мире пивоваренная компания — бельгийская AB InBev договорилась с японским концерном Asahi о покупке последней нескольких европейских премиальных брендов пива, в том числе итальянского Peroni и голландского Grolsch, сообщает во вторник Financial Times.
Предложение о покупке Asahi сделала еще в начале февраля. Сейчас, после сбора информации о сотрудниках и внутренних консультаций о продаже бизнеса, InBev его одобрила. Сумма сделки, по информации Financial Times, составит $2,55 млрд. Агентства Bloomberg и Reuters называют несколько большую сумму — €2,55 млрд ($2,9 млрд).
Бренды Peroni и Grolsch сейчас принадлежат британскому концерну SABMiller, о решении поглотить который InBev объявила в ноябре. Стоимость покупки концерна составляет около $100 млрд. По словам представителей AB InBev, сделка с японцами является условием успеха для закрытия сделки по покупке SABMiller. Продажа части активов была одним из требований антимонопольных органов к сделке: от InBev требовалось продать часть бизнеса SABMiller, в частности два из шести флагманских брендов, третьей стороне. Покупка активов Asahi также пройдет проверку Еврокомиссии.
Для Asahi бельгийский концерн является давним партнером. Еще в 2009 году японцы приобрели у InBev китайскую пивоварню Tsingtao за почти $700 млн. Новое соглашение впервые выведет крупнейший японский пивной концерн на европейский рынок. Учитывая сокращение японского населения, это несет с собой ряд возможностей, а также ряд вызовов, отмечает Bloomberg. Например, на ведении бизнеса может сказаться неопытность Asahi на европейском рынке, где традиции пивоварения гораздо старше, нежели в Японии, заявил агентству эксперт токийского отделения Credit Suisse Масаши Мори. «У Asahi неплохой опыт контроля издержек после предыдущих поглощений. Но получится ли у них использовать это с перспективы европейских брендов, я пока сомневаюсь», — добавил он.
