Главком ВКС заявил о решающей роли российской авиации в борьбе с террористами в Сирии
Главком Воздушно-космических сил России Виктор Бондарев заявил о решающей роли российской авиации в борьбе с террористами в Сирии. По его утверждению, с поддержкой авиации связаны не только успехи армии Асада, но и успехи западной антитеррористической коалиции в соседнем государстве – Ираке.
Бондарев выступал на открытии мемориальной плиты погибшему летчику Олегу Пешкову на его малой родине в Алтайском крае. Су-24 Пешкова был сбит турецким истребителем у границы Сирии и Турции. В Минобороны заявляют, что самолет не вторгался в воздушное пространство Турции.
Главком заявил: “Не бывает смертей просто так. Серьезными темпами было наступление ИГИЛовцев, не только в Сирии, но и других государствах. Благодаря действиям нашей авиации это остановлено, и сейчас сирийская армия имеет большие успехи в операциях. Благодаря этому коалиция в Ираке начала наступление и имеет успехи, но в основном это было решено авиацией России”, – сказал главком журналистам в субботу. ИГИЛ – прежнее название “Исламского государства”, запрещенной в России террористической группировки.
“Если бы президент не принял решение об операции в Сирии, возможно, весь этот “сброд” был бы на нашей территории, были бы более существенные жертвы и расходы государства”, – отметил Бондарев.
Бондарев заявил, что на примере Пешкова будут воспитаны целые поколения, которые также с честью и достоинством будут выполнять свой долг, передает “Интерфакс”.
“Мы это дело все равно доведём до ума. Никто не говорит, что нам
это простят: никто не радуется, что Россия имеет успехи в этом деле, нас
будут стараться оболгать, оклеветать. Мы к этому готовы”, – добавил он.
Пешков погиб в результате обстрела с земли 24 ноября 2015 года, после того, как его самолет Су-24 был сбит турецким истребителем F-16. Указом президента РФ за героизм, мужество и отвагу, проявленные при исполнении воинского долга, Пешкову было посмертно присвоено звание Героя России. Инцидент и отказ Турции принести извинения привели к небывалому кризису в отношениях, введению Россией санкций в отношении турецких товаров и компаний, а также запрете для российских турагентств организовывать отдых на турецких курортах.
