Еврокомиссия дала денег на первый газопровод, который соединит Литву, Латвию и Эстонию с другими странами ЕС
В четверг в Брюсселе было подписано соглашение о строительстве газопровода, соединяющего Литву с Польшей, который должен заработать к началу 2020 года, сообщает РИА “Новости” со ссылкой на пресс-релиз Еврокомиссии (ЕК). Это первый проект в области энергетики, который соединит балтийские страны с европейским рынком.
Подписание этого документа даст возможность начать строительные работы с целью завершить газопровод к декабрю 2019 года. Протяженность газопровода составит 534 километра. По проекту, он берет начало в центральной Польше и заканчивается в районе поселка Яшюнай на юго-востоке Литвы. Сметная стоимость прокладки газопровода составляет 558 млн евро.
ЕК, которая является высшим органом исполнительной власти ЕС, выступила посредником в сделке и инвестировала в проект 300 млн евро, сообщил на церемонии подписания председатель комиссии Жан-Клод Юнкер.
“Вы стали свидетелями исторического события. Вы покончили с энергетической изоляцией стран Балтии. Вы избавились от длительной зависимости от одного поставщика”, – поздравил Юнкер подписавших документ.
“Эти инвестиции принесут дивиденды – свободное течение энергии в Европе. Нам это необходимо для безопасности поставок, для диверсификации источников получения энергии”, – подчеркнул глава ЕК.
