Китайская платежная система UnionPay начала работать на территории Крыма
“БайкалБанк” начал эмиссию и эквайринг карт китайской платежной системы UnionPay в Крыму, где уже больше года из-за санкций США не работают MasterCard и VISA, а также международные операторы денежных переводов. Об этом во вторник сообщает РИА “Новости”.
В банке напомнили, что UnionPay, успешно работает в России с 2013 года, и не поддерживает международные экономические санкции, из-за которых в Крыму не могут свободно работать MasterCard и Visa. Последние в декабре 2014 года решили прекратить обслуживание своих карт в Крыму, а также карт, эмитированных российскими банками, работающих на территории полуострова.
По словам руководителя крымского филиала банка, UnionPay является первой крупной международной платежной системой, которая будет полноценно функционировать в Крыму. В банке отметили, что большая часть карт UnionPay пока выпускается в рамках зарплатных проектов.
Клиентов уже обслуживают в шести крымских городах: Ялте, Симферополе, Севастополе, Керчи, Саках и Евпатории. Инфраструктура будет расширяться, как и территория действия карт.
Банк предлагает кобрендинговую карту “Золотая корона – UnionPay”, которая объединила преимущества двух карт в одной. Такая гибридная карта обслуживается в банкоматах, принимающих как карты ПС “Золотая корона”, так и МПС UnionPay International.
