ООН доставила гуманитарную помощь в пять осажденных сирийских городов
Белые грузовики ООН с гуманитарной помощью беспрепятственно въехали в пять осажденных городов в Сирии, сообщил гуманитарный координатор организации Якуб Эль-Хилло агентству Reuters.
В доставке помощи участвовали около сотни грузовиков. По оценке ООН, благодаря этому до 100 тысяч человек получат продукты питания, медикаменты и предметы гигиены.
Ранее специальный посланник Генерального секретаря ООН по Сирии Стефан де Мистура заявлял, что доставка продовольствия и предметов первой необходимости в осажденные города представляет собой для ООН “тест на способность доставлять гуманитарную помощь”. Для сторон конфликта – это также “тест”, который призван показать, насколько они готовы обеспечить беспрепятственную доставку помощи, решение о которой было принято в Мюнхене 11 февраля Международной группой поддержи Сирии (МГПС).
Эмиссар ООН напомнил, что “более 400 тысяч сирийцев живут в районах, осажденных правительством, оппозицией и ДАИШ (арабское название “Исламского государства”, запрещенной в России террористической группировки).
По его словам, осуществленная 17 февраля транспортная операция – это первый шаг к “полному, устойчивому и беспрепятственному доступу по всей стране, как того требуют резолюции Совета Безопасности ООН, решения МГПС и международное гуманитарное право”.
В четверг в женевском Дворце наций пройдет второе заседание целевой группы по гуманитарным вопросам, созданной МГПС.
