В Финляндии на АЭС произошла утечка радиоактивных веществ
В Финляндии на АЭС “Олкилуото”, расположенной на побережье Ботнического залива Балтийского моря на одноименном острове, была найдена топливная неисправность. В первом блоке АЭС обнаружена утечка радиоактивных веществ в реакторную воду, передают журналисты телерадиокомпании YLE.
В местном Центре ядерной и радиационной безопасности (STUK) уже заверили жителей страны в том, что угрозы для окружающей среды последствия инцидента не представляют. Начальник отдела электропроизводства Микко Косонен назвал ситуацию неприятной, но не слишком серьезной.
“Подобные ситуации случались за время работы станции уже около 40 раз”, – отметил он. По информации издания, ремонтные работы на АЭС продлятся около недели. Производство электроэнергии будет приостановлено на время ремонтных работ, начиная с понедельника, 11 апреля.
После проверки реактора было принято решение о внеплановой замене трех стержней. Всего же в активной зоне используются порядка 500 топливных элементов, отмечают журналисты.
АЭС “Олкилуото” была введена в эксплуатацию в 1978 году. Два реактора станции производят более 16% потребляемой в Финляндии электроэнергии. В 2005 году в Финляндии началось строительство третьего блока АЭС, однако на данный момент неизвестно, когда он будет введен в эксплуатацию.
